How did it all start?
In 2013, best friends Nick Johnson and Mike Ladenburg came together and discussed their shared dream of becoming entrepreneurs. Together from this dream, they started North Country Armory. Not only is North Country Armory a locally owned and operated armory, but they also deal with customized Gun Safes as well as providing Gun Repair and Manufacturing. The term “thick as thieves” could easily be used to describe the duo. Their passion for quality products and great customer service can be felt throughout the whole purchasing experience here at North Country Armory.

While working at a local coal mine in 2007, Nick Johnson met his future wife, Lindsey, who now manages North Country Armory along with the guys. Giving support to each other in business and at home has laid a firm foundation for both a strong company and relationship. In reference to Nick, Lindsey often likes to say “Who says you can’t find gold in a coal mine?”
Mike Ladenburg joined the company as a partner shortly after its start. Born and raised in Havre, MT, Mike and Nick grew up together and share a close friendship to this day. Mike cultivates his passion for being outdoors by maintaining his fourth-generation farm, hunting, and fishing. After attending college, Mike returned to the family farm in Havre and is now married to his wonderful wife Cassie with two children, who always keep life exciting. Mike’s passion for the outdoors and North Country Armory mesh effortlessly into his work ethic and he looks forward to providing high-quality products for his customers.
